France Among Top 5 Foreign Investors in Qatar (2017–2024)

Between 2017 and 2024, Qatar attracted over 1,000 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, creating more than 73,000 jobs and representing a total estimated CAPEX of over $50 billion. These figures reflect the country’s strong momentum in diversifying its economy and advancing its goals under the Third National Development Strategy (NDS3).

In this context, France ranks as the 5th largest investor in Qatar over the 2017–2024 period, with 75 projects, 5,468 jobs created, and a CAPEX of $4.091 billion. This highlights the strength and long-term commitment of French companies to the Qatari market and reinforces the strategic partnership between the two countries.

To further improve FDI transparency and efficiency, Invest Qatar has launched the FDI Projects Monitor, in collaboration with fDi Markets. This interactive tool offers real-time, reliable data on investment flows—providing valuable insights for informed decision-making and supporting Qatar’s economic growth.
