Spotlight Qatar: Online Shopping Behaviour & Attitudes

Qatar’s shoppers embrace online convenience but still value in-store experiences.

Online shopping is now part of daily life in Qatar, with more than 8 in 10 making online purchases in the past six months.

Convenience and promotions are among the top reasons driving this shift, with most online shoppers turning to online-only retailers and aggregator platforms. The range of online purchases is broad - ranging from telecom bills and fashion to food and utilities - showing how online habits now stretch beyond traditional retail. Still, shopping remains a blended experience; nearly half say in-store shopping can’t be replaced, and only 1 in 3 expect to shift fully online, highlighting a hybrid shopping mindset.
