HR Club : Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Workshop – An Enriching Collaboration with ILO

[Translate to Anglais:]

The HR Club has launched its five-part workshop series on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in collaboration with the ILO.

On Tuesday, the HR Club of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Qatar had the pleasure of attending the first in a five-part series of workshops focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO).

The session, facilitated by Nour Ahmed, Training and Outreach Officer, ILO Project Office for the State of Qatar, provided a valuable platform for HR professionals to reflect, exchange, and learn. The workshop began with a comprehensive introduction to the key principles of DEI, grounded in ILO Convention No. 111, which aims to eliminate all forms of discrimination in employment and occupation.

Participants then engaged in case studies drawn from real-life scenarios, sparking dynamic and thought-provoking discussions. These debates highlighted the richness of perspectives and experiences within our HR community and underlined the practical challenges and opportunities in fostering inclusive workplaces.

Beyond the insights gained, the workshop helped strengthen a shared awareness among participants about the strategic role that HR leaders can play in embedding inclusion and equity at all levels of the organization.

📅 Next session: May 6th, from 3 to 5 PM

Building on the success of this first session, we look forward to welcoming you to the next workshop, which will take place on May 6th, 2025, from 3 to 5 PM. This second session will continue to explore DEI in practice: Best Practices for Social Inclusion in Qatar.
