MoCI lists establishments exempted from reducing employees, working hours
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has listed the establishments and entities exempted from the decision taken in Wednesday's Cabinet meeting with regard to reducing the number of employees in the workplace - across the private sector - to 20% of the total workforce and cutting down the work timings to six hours per day for those who have to go to the workplace.
According to an infographic issued by the ministry on its Twitter page on Thursday, pharmacies and clinics, factories, maintenance companies, food and subsidised supplies retail outlets, e-commerce companies, telecom companies, banks, companies operating in State-run projects, restaurants (deliveries and takeaways), gas stations and logistic services companies and firms operating in ports, airports and Customs services are exempted from the decision.
