Marie-Pier DesharnaisExpert Speaker on “Business Continuity in Crisis Management"

Marie-Pier has over 12 years of experience in Business Continuity, Crisis and Disaster Management.

She led the implementation of resilience related programs in the Middle East and internationally in various sectors including Oil & Gas, Education, Hospitality, Community Development, Tech and start-ups.

Marie has an unparallel passion for the discipline. She holds a MSc in Post-disaster recovery which she completed after surviving the 2004 South-East Asian tsunami. With this unique experience she has a deeper understanding of the phenomenon of disasters, which she enriched further during her time as Deputy Director of Recovery in the Ministry of Public Security, Canada.​ Marie is also a high-altitude mountaineer having recently summited Mount Everest and K2. She loves taking risk management to new heights on the world’s most challenging peaks.
