Qatar’s Ambassador to France meets Organization of La Francophonie chief

Paris: Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic and Qatar’s representative to the International Organization of La Francophonie H E Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani met with Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie H E Louise Mushikiwabo.

During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the International Organization of la Francophonie and means of developing them.

Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani stressed the State of Qatar’s commitment to continue supporting the Organization, which represents a space for multilateral cooperation in the cultural, political and economic fields.

He also renewed the State of Qatar’s keenness to continue its participation in the initiatives emanating from the organization and the cultural events it organizes, wishing success for preparations for the next Francophonie Summit, which coincides with the celebration of the organization’s 50th anniversary.

For her part, Louise Mushikiwabo commended the active role of the State of Qatar within the organization’s framework and praised the efforts it has made to dedicate the principles of democracy, human rights and effective policy that it pursues to develop Francophonie and promote the use and teaching of the French language in the Qatari society.
