Evolen delegation Doha for LNG2026

EVOLEN Strategic Mission in Doha: French Industrial Expertise at the Heart of the World’s Leading LNG Hub
From 2 to 5 February 2026, EVOLEN, co-organised with CCI France Qatar, led a strategic business mission in Doha, bringing together several French energy companies. Taking place in a context of major expansion of the country’s gas production capacities, the initiative aimed to position French industrial know-how as close as possible to major project owners and structuring developments within the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) market.
A programme structured around LNG2026
At the core of the mission was participation in LNG2026, the international reference event dedicated to LNG. This privileged framework enabled the French delegation to benefit from direct access to leading operators, EPC contractors and key industrial partners, fostering high-value exchanges and strategic discussions.
Targeted visits and high-level meetings
The programme featured a series of strategic meetings with major energy stakeholders in Qatar, including QatarEnergy, QatarEnergy LNG, Technip Energies, Eni, TotalEnergies, McDermott International and Schneider Electric. These discussions created opportunities to explore new areas of collaboration while providing deeper insight into the industrial priorities linked to current and upcoming gas projects.
Institutional meetings and networking momentum
CCI France Qatar would like to warmly thank H.E. Arnaud Pescheux, Ambassador of France to Qatar, for his generous hospitality during the reception held on 2 February, which brought together all French participants attending LNG2026. The evening was highlighted by an inspiring address from Arnaud Pieton, CEO of Technip Energies, who insisted on the longevity of the French-Qatari relationship in the Energy sector.
The delegation also benefited from institutional briefings with several key stakeholders from the local economic ecosystem, including a presentation of the economic landscape by Florentin Hyvert, Head of the Economic Service at the Embassy of France, an overview of the VIE programme delivered by Carole Kazzi, Director of the Business France Office in Doha, as well as a dedicated meeting with the Qatari Businessmen Association. These exchanges helped strengthen ties between the French and Qatari business communities while paving the way for strategic partnerships.
A mission focused on tangible business opportunities
Designed as a true development lever, the mission aimed to generate concrete business opportunities, strengthen the visibility of the French industrial offering and build long-term partnerships in one of the most competitive energy markets worldwide.
Participating French companies:
AVENTA, Bureau Veritas Group, Exail, FEBUS Optics, GEOCEAN, Groupe M, Incitius, Intersica, REP – Recherche Exploitation Produits, SeaOwl Group, STAPEM Offshore, VALSEM INDUSTRIES, Wave Energies.
