The Chamber
Xavier Robert elected Chairman of the CCI France Qatar Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of CCI France Qatar met on Monday 21 September at the Swissôtel, for a session marked by a change at its helm.
Edouard Thévenin, Chairman of the Board, tendered his resignation following his departure from Qatar. On this occasion, he wished to address a few words to the Chamber: "It has been an honour to chair this Board and to support the Chamber's development. I am leaving my position with the conviction that CCI France Qatar is in good hands, and I am confident it will continue to grow and shine. I would like to thank the members of the Chamber for their trust and loyalty. I warmly thank all the Board members for their commitment and trust throughout this mandate, as well as our Managing Director, Sandrine Lescaroux, and the entire executive team for their remarkable work."
Following this announcement, the Board unanimously elected Xavier Robert, General Manager of Société Générale Qatar, and a board member since 2025, as Chairman. In his first words as the new Chairman, Xavier thanked the Board for its trust, said he was pleased and honoured to succeed Edouard, and confirmed his wish to continue on the path of dynamism, working closely with other Team France stakeholders, in particular by repeating successful events and further expanding development opportunities.
The Board also co-opted Nicolas Delforge, General Manager of Technip Energies Qatar, in accordance with Article III.5.2 of the CCI France Qatar Statutes. This appointment helps maintain the representation of major French industrial players on the Board.
This new governance structure reflects the continuity of CCI France Qatar's work in strengthening bilateral economic relations between France and Qatar.
