Energy Committee: Charles Caïa hands over to Samuel Grondin

The Energy Committee of CCI France Qatar has a new Chair. Charles Caïa, who has chaired it since its launch in 2020, is coming to the end of his assignment in Qatar and is handing over to Samuel Grondin, VP Business Development & Sales at Technip Energies Qatar, who was elected unanimously by the members of the Committee.
This transition is an opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to Charles. When we first conceived this committee, he did not hesitate to step forward and committed himself alongside us to building it, step by step, very soon joined by Edouard Thévenin, then VP Business Development & Sales at Technip Energies. Thanks to their involvement, their availability and their vision, the Energy Committee is today one of the flagships of CCI France Qatar.
From the outset, the Committee faced very concrete challenges: having opened in January 2020, we worked very early on the logistical problems caused by Covid. We were then able to develop more ambitious projects, such as a webinar with Evolen on Tawteen and, some time later, welcoming a delegation of 14 Evolen member companies on a mission to coincide with the LNG2026 exhibition.
Samuel highlighted this in his speech: Charles has always extended a warm welcome to newcomers, and the Committee has always offered high-quality meetings and discussions. This spirit of openness and rigour is a precious legacy, which the new Chair intends to carry forward.
On behalf of the entire CCI France Qatar team and its members, thank you, Charles, for these years of commitment. We wish you every success for what comes next. And we warmly welcome Samuel, with whom we look forward to opening this new chapter.
