Ashghal unveils five-year plan with QR81 billion in new projects
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced the launch of an ambitious five-year plan, worth over 81 billion Qatari riyals, aimed at implementing essential projects in various infrastructure sectors, ranging from residential land development to public construction projects, including sewerage networks and strategic discharge points. This strategic milestone defines the characteristics of Qatar's infrastructure for the next five years. The announcement was made during a press conference, during which Ashghal Chairman H.E. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Meer, Eng., presented the main features of this new plan, which builds on a rich history of infrastructure achievements that have contributed to qualitative advances in recent years, notably during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
He stated that Ashghal will launch and implement a wide range of development projects over the coming period, as part of the 2025-2029 five-year plan, the largest in the Authority's history in terms of investment volume and number of projects.
